Beach and Waterway Cleanup Guide
A cleanup event is a great way to help show your commitment to the local community and reach out to new customers.
The Foundation's Guide to Waterway Cleanups is written for boaters, marinas and towing companies to cover everything you need to know to host your own cleanup event including what you need to do before, during and after your event such as information on recruiting volunteers, promoting your event, getting sponsorships and donations for the event and even educational materials to help educate your customers and the boating public on the hazards of marine debris. The guide also provides tips on working with the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup (ICC), held each year on the third Saturday in September. By taking advantage of partnering with the ICC, you may be able get free supplies for your event.

After you complete your cleanup event using this guide, don't forget to tell us about the how the event went and how we can improve this guide in the future. Complete our short survey on your event so we can track the impact of the guide and continue to improve the resources available to the boating public.
