The BoatUS Foundation's Online Course does NOT meet this state's requirement for mandatory education for PWC operators aged 12-17. However, this course is recommended for all other boaters.Approved by the Utah Department of State Parks and Recreation

The BoatUS Foundation's Online course does not meet Utah's Mandatory Education requirements for PWC operators aged 12-17. For more information in Utah's boating regulations, click State Requirements above. Although Utah currently has no additional mandatory education requirements, the Department of State Parks and Recreation recommends all boaters, regardless of age or type of boat operated, take a boating safety course.

The BoatUS Foundation's Utah Boating course consists of 6 lessons and a Final Exam. Each lesson has a 10-question quiz at the end. The Final exam is 75 questions and you must pass with with a score of 80% or better.

  3. Pass the course and print out your certificate of completion* yourself for free - it's absolutely free to take the course and print your certificate, or you can have BoatUS mail you a certificate for $5.
