The BoatUS Foundation's Online Course is approved by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to satisfy the mandatory education requirements for boaters and PWC operators born on or after September 1, 1993.

Anyone may take the BoatU.S. Foundation's Free Online Boating Safety course as practice or to receive a discount on boat/PWC marine insurance.

The BoatUS Foundation's Texas Boating course consists of 6 lessons and a Final Exam. Each lesson has a 10-question quiz at the end to test your knowledge. The Final exam is 75 questions and you must pass with with a score of 80% or better.

To get your BoatU.S. Boating Safety Certificate, follow these 3 simple steps:

2. Create an account and enroll yourself in the Texas Boating Safety Course from the Course Catalog
3. Pass the course and print out your certificate of completion* yourself for free - it's absolutely free to take the course and print your certificate, or you can have BoatUS mail you a certificate for $5.

*This certificate of completion is NASBLA and state approved, and entitles boaters born on or after September 1, 1993 to operate on the waters of Texas.
