The BoatUS Foundation's Online Course is the only free Online Boating Safety Course approved by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism for boaters 21 years of age and older.
This course is NOT approved for Kansas residents who are under 21 years of age. In Kansas, any person born on or after January 1, 1989 and under 21 years of age must complete an approved boater safety education course in order to operate a motorboat or sailboat on public waters. The BoatUS Foundation's Kansas Boating course consists of 6 lessons and a Final Exam. Each lesson has a 10-question quiz at the end. The Final exam is 75 questions and you must pass with with a score of 80% or better.
