The BoatUS Foundation's Online Course is the only free Online Boating Safety Course approved by the Idaho State Parks and Recreation.

The Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation recommends taking a boating safety class. Although Idaho has no mandatory state-wide education requirement, certain counties such as Benewah, Bonner and Kootenai, have age restrictions for minimum operator age.

Each lesson has a 10-question quiz at the end. The Final exam is 75 questions and you must pass with with a score of 80% or better.
